Animal Lovers Needed

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple. Please tell ten (or more) friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Website is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
Just go to their site and click on 'feed an animal in need' for free.
It's in a purple box in the middle of the page. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. Please just
click on this site, The Animal Rescue Site AGAIN, PLEASE

A change of trips

My family and I have been doing some thinking about the People to People trip. We think it's too long of a time for me to be away from home. Maybe when I'm a little older I will do a P2P trip.

BUT... I have decided to take an educational trip through my school, either next Spring or Summer. The trip I will be going on will be going to Washington D.C. and New York City through Smithsonian Student Travel. I will be doing activities such as visiting all of the Presidential Monuments, Arlington Cemetary, Smithsonian Institute, & visiting old town Alexandria, where George Washington once lived.

This trip is much cheaper. I think it's under $2,000.00. I am selling candy bars and saving soda cans to recycle to raise money for this. Once I fill out the application, I will need to start making payments.

So, if anyone still wants to help me by buying candy, saving soda cans, or donating to the education of your favorite niece, sister, daughter, friend, student, I would really appreciate it!!!!

Awesome Pawsome

Last Sunday I went to the animal shelter for my weekly volunteering. It was hard work that I did but it was fun. I had no idea that I was going to be rewarded that day. My mentor and I went into the surgery room. There I saw the most amazing thing. The vet tech was nutering 6 puppies. They weren't just any type of puppy, they were Goldendoodles. That is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. The process was unbelieveable. Here are the steps:

1.- Inject puppy with some special sleepy stuff
2.- Put oxygen mask on puppy in order for them to breath in the anestetics
3.- Make small incision on the low part of stomach on puppy
4.- I think you know what happens now
5.- Wipe any blood off with gauzz
6.- Seal incision with special surgical glue
7.- Take mask off puppy and put in cage with siblings

Also, Sunday night, my dog got stung by a bee in her mouth but, at the time, we didn't know that it was a bee sting. We took her to a Pet emergency Clinic and the vet looked in her mouth and said it was a Ranula (abcsessed saliva gland) under her tounge. She became better and we didn't have to take her in for the planned surgery.

P.S. Has something bad ever happened to a pet of yours?

A spectacular view

Over the weekend, my family and I went to Steptoe Butte State Park near Pullman, Washington. It was an amazing sight to see, especially since it's all farmland. I think it's pretty because it's like a ton of different patches of a quilt sewn together with variations of greens, yellows, and browns.

Oh lord!

My df is not a blogger. He has a blog but, my dm does it for him. He did not know that if you wanted to leave a comment on somebody else's blog you could be anonymous. I showed him last night and he finally got it. But lo and behold, my dm had to confuse him again. She was trying to tell him that you had to have a post in order for somebody to leave a comment. He thought that there was some where special that you could leave comments. There is, but a post and a comment are not the same. Now, let's see if he can comment anonymously on this post!!!

Books, books, and more books!!!

Hi ya'll,

During the summer I went to the local library multiple times. I checked out many books and I kept a list. This summer I read over 60 books. 60!!! When I told my teachers, they were very shocked. I guess it's good that I love to read!!!

First day of school

I officially started 8th grade on September 2nd. I was nervous because I was to find out my schedule, lunch number, and locker combo that morning. Throughout the day, I became less frustrated. At the end of the day my mom picked me up from school and we went out for coffe. Here is my first day of school picture. Enjoy!! TTYL

P.S Was there a time when you felt nervous on a first day of something?(school, new job, interview?)
